When schools and districts choose our academic programs, educators get a true turnkey solution. Everything teachers need—lesson plans, sports equipment, and STEM materials—is included in the kit. That means no last-minute trips to the store, no out-of-pocket expenses, and no scrambling for supplies. Teachers can focus entirely on delivering engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences, while students benefit from ready-to-go activities that connect STEM concepts to real-world sports applications.
With STEM Sports®, schools and districts invest, and teachers gain lasting resources that make STEM instruction easy, impactful, and cost-free for them.
With the NHL regular season about to begin, engaging your students with STEM Hockey is an excellent way to enhance their learning experience. And even if the game is foreign to your students, they will all learn together in equal ways. Plus, no ice required!
Our STEM Hockey program combines the fast-paced, exciting world of hockey with engaging, hands-on STEM education. Designed for students in grades 3–8, this curriculum uses the science and strategy behind the game to teach key concepts in physics, engineering, math, and technology. Students explore topics like:
Force and motion
Angles of passing and shooting
Geometry of the rink
Engineering behind equipment design, and more
Like all of our programs, STEM Hockey emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking, while keeping students active and engaged. In short, STEM Hockey transforms a passion for the game into a powerful learning experience that fosters both athletic appreciation and academic confidence.
We recognize that funding for all types of educational purposes has been particularly challenging this year. Grants help K–12 schools expand access to high-quality learning by funding essential programs and tools. From STEM labs and robotics kits to literacy initiatives and after-school enrichment, as well as STEM Sports programming, they close equity gaps and support underserved learners. Grants also fund teacher training, family engagement, and community partnerships—driving student success and readiness for college, career, and life. We’ve compiled a robust list of Federal and Private grant sources for your use. Additionally, be sure to visit the Perkins V Funding section on the link below. Career and Technical Education funding makes it possible to obtain STEM Sports programs. Good luck!
